This is a random collection of photos from bush walking in Australia. Hopefully it captures some of the magic of the bush; from fly blown trails to driving snow in the space of twenty four hours.

  • Alpine National Park - The high alpine plateau of Victoria, flanked by its highest peaks. It's a beautiful area of rolling moorland and gurgling creeks.
  • The Grampians - A stunning ancient landscape of wind shaped rocks and rugged peaks.!
  • Mount Howitt and the Jamieson Valley - A fairly rugged region of the southern Alpine National Park in Victoria that offers some challenging terrain!
  • The Otways - A temperate rainforest that flanks the Great Ocean Road
  • The Overland Track - One of Australia's most famous long distance walks
  • South Western Australia - We recently spent a week exploring the south west corner of Australia. Two weeks would have been better!
  • Wilsons Prom - A beautiful coastal National Park at the southern tip of mainland Australia. Justifiable popular but still a treat for the walker. Staying at the Lighthouse is a particularly spectacular option
  • Winter in the Australian Alps - It may not be Whistler, but yes, it snows in Australian and the Alps do get their fair share. The weather can be a shocker, though. I've been fortunate enough to enjoy some glorious weekends over the past few years. A recent trip had a particularly spectacular morning and loads of snow. Have a look at the gallery or the very exciting summit video .
